The Division of Early Childhood Development at the Maryland State Department
of Education is responsible for early care and education in Maryland.
The Division houses the Office of Child Care and the Early Learning
Branch.

Committee for Children
Maryland Committee for Children works with parents, child care providers,
advocates, employers, and policymakers to expand and enhance the early
childhood education and child care available to Maryland's children.
NAEYC
The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)
is dedicated to improving the well-being of all young children, with
particular focus on the quality of educational and developmental services
for all children from birth through age 8.

of Southern Maryland Association for the Education of Young Children
(CSMAEYC)
CSMAEYC's goal is to help early childhood professionals be informed
about the latest information about children and to help establish connections
through the field.

The Mission of the Maryland State Family Child Care Association
(MSFCCA) is to promote and enhance our profession by advocating for
family child care providers through education and collaboration with
local associations for the quality care of all children.
National Afterschool
Association
NAA represents the voice of the afterschool field in the areas
of professional development, program quality, public policy and current
issues affecting children and youth in their out of school time.
